Checking Accounts

Providing superior service combined with products designed to meet your financial needs, the First National Bank of Ottawa offers our customers a wide variety of personal checking and savings accounts.

Your choices range from our popular, interest bearing Checking Plus account, which offers interest when the daily minimum balance is over $1,500, and waived service charging if you maintain a $500 average daily balance, for the monthly statement cycle, or choose to opt out of receiving a mailed statement.

For Customers who wish to receive a mailed monthly statement with images of their checks, the traditional Personal Checking account service charge is waived when an average daily balance of $500.00 is kept in the account during the monthly statement cycle.

If a Customer desires both interest and check images monthly, the First National Bank NOW Account pays interest. A average daily balance of $2,000 is required for the monthly statement cycle to remain service charge free.

Savings Accounts

The First National Bank of Ottawa savings account requires a $100 deposit to open, and offers customers a competitive rate of interest if a minimum balance of $2,000 is maintained each day. Children* up to age 16 receive the same benefits with an initial deposit of as little as $20. Interest on First National savings accounts is compounded daily and paid quarterly.

*A Parent or Guardian must have deposit account with The First National Bank of Ottawa.
